It is an exciting time for the city of Pittsburg! Railroad ave. in downtown Pittsburg is being completely renovated. The Vidrio,a chic lifestyle comes to Pittsburg, a vibrant new place to live, shop, dine and play. New Pittsburg High School
The brand NEW Pittsburg High School has just been completed. Construction began in 2008 and was completed in the Summer of 2010. The new high school is multi-level and will provide more than enough space for all of Pittsburg High School's 2200 students.Click here to read more...
Marina Vista Elementary School
A brand new elementary school now calls Railroad ave. its home. Marina Vista Elementary school features an astro-turf playground instead of the costly upkeep of real grass. Click here to read more...
New County Courthouse & Library
Upon Completion, the new building will house the city of pittsburg's new Courthouse and Library. Construction continues and is expectected to be completed in the future. Current Progress can be seen above.
New E-Bart Station: Pittsburg
An extension of the existing BART system, which includes a BART station at Railroad Avenue (with an eventual hillcrest ave. station in operation by 2015), designed for construction by 2010. This E-Bart station will be directly adjacent to the City's Courthouse, Library and Civic Center. click here for more info.
