The Chamber and Police Department collaborated and created a logo with a professional
designer in 2007. The costs came to $1,750. We gained sponsorship to produce 3000
stickers in 2007. It took 4 weeks of staff time to distribute to all businesses
who participated per year.
The business watch program introduces and helps implement crime prevention strategies
and help maintain a safe and secure work environment. By using our resources we
can address workplace safety issues specific to each business, educate management
and employees in the recognition of crime risks and how to reduce if not eliminate
